Yes ! Our products are efficient against microorganisms (mold, virus, bacteries), but also against endocrine disruptors, or VOC, odours and allergens.

Yes they are. An allergen is a substance made with an organic body (atom, molecule, protein) or not.

Allergen is often present on airborne particles and is transported by the same particle (dust, spore, pollen). Ikibox air purifiers are able to eradicate 99.999% of them in less than 10 minutes.

Our devices have been independently tested by CNRS laboratories in Lyon (VIRNEXT and VIRLAB), but also by AirLab Control laboratory (University of Lyon) and by Tera Environment laboratory, where our devices have been approved under the AFNOR B44A norm (mandatory for elements using photocatalysis or plasma).

The first Ikibox generation (BW60) have been tested on the MERS CORONAVIRUS and their efficiency has been proved. We will program a test on SARS-CoV-2 as soon as the pandemic situation will be over.

Ikibox 250 has been approved against H1N1 up to 99.999% in less than 10 minutes. It ensures workers that if someone is contaminated around them, the minimal infectious dose, to be sick,won’t be reached.

For Ikibox 1000, the yield is 99.999% in less than 10 minutes.

Air purifiers competitive advantage

Devices warranty last for 2 years. Devices warranty under long-term rental last for 4 years, and is offered after 2 years.

These systems clean out surfaces by airborne way. The process is timely regulated and does not work on all pollutants.

These systems, though they have an aesthetic impact on the designated areas, generally don’t have any efficiency on microorganisms or pollutants.

In fact, it has been shown that they participated in the proliferation of legionellosis. In order to ensure the safety of its use, the diffusers systems, nozzle sheath and pumps need to be regularly descaled and disinfected with specific chemicals products which can have negative effects on surfaces.

Our purifiers don’t need any chemical product to work and remove pollutants in the air up to 99.999% in less than 10 minutes.

Filter (classical filter, HEPA…) catches unwanted particles without destroying them. It presents risks to create a second source of contamination.

Moreover the filter, once saturated, becomes inefficient and dangerous. The saturation transforms the filter into “petri dish” and enhances the proliferation of microorganisms (Dyson has been banished and removed from every public hospital because it helps the virus Covid-19 to proliferate).

The filtration can be efficient, but it requires a high level of maintenance and a significant “consumable” exchange cost. The filtration compared to Ikibox air purifiers, does not work on surfaces. Ikibox devices work thanks to a plasma catalysis system and don’t use any filter.

Filters can be a secondary source of contamination for viruses. Indeed, when viruses are caught by filters, they are “stocked”. When the filter is saturated, the risk is to increase the proliferation of the virus in the air. Devices made of filters are more expensive to maintain because of the regular change of consumables.

Uvc with the right wavelength (around 254 nm) are called germicidal and are efficient to kill some microorganisms. However, compare to our devices, they are not efficient against chemicals pollutants (COV) and odours. Industrial processes use ultraviolet rays for different uses: air and surfaces disinfection in hospitals and scientific laboratories, lasers… Because these rays are invisible to human eyes, risks to be exposed are important. These rays are prohibited next to human presence, they use lamps whose lifespan is generally short for high costs. In order to be germicidal, they require long exposure on surfaces to destroy all microorganisms. Our air purifiers can be use along humans and animals and are efficient against pollutants at 99.999% in less than 10 minutes and maintenance costs are very low.

Ozone is an oxidiser used for a long time to clean water. This molecule is extremely efficient to deodorise and decontaminate an entire room. However its efficiency is linked to its concentration and represents a real danger for health. This procedure has been banned since 2007 for many states of the United-States. Moreover, studies showed that ozone participated in the creation of formaldehyde (toxic organic airborne compound (COV), irritating eyes, nose and throat).

Ikibox air purifiers do not produce ozone.

Photocatalysis is a well known evolution in air Uvc air treatment. A specific catalyst is applied to a surface and subjected to UV radiation allows the degradation of pollutants and contaminants only to its contact. This technology rapidly finds its limit because this process is slow, in particular for odours. It often requires large, expensive and noisy devices and also requires important and expensive maintenance.

Some spray claim sanitation or air purification. Two types of products are identified: sprays made of essential oil or others made of active substances which often claim to be efficient against indoor air bio-contamination (bactericidal, virucide, fungicide, acaricide, insecticide), and deodorants that claim to neutralise odours. These products often only hide odours without destroying them.

Ikibox technology consists in cutting all the molecule from contaminating agents (virus, bacteries, germs, mould, allergens, VOC, odours..) by a patented physicochemical process of dielectric barrier discharge, in a reactor before mineralizing them (recomposition into stable molecule already existing in air, nitrogen, oxygen, water…) to reform original air. The technology is certified, does not create waste, neither contaminating by-product or secondary contamination source.

 

Ikibox devices are respectful of the environment and are adaptable to all spaces. Their safety has been validated by the AFNOR B44A norm. The processing can work continuously along with humans, animals or food in complete safety. Autonomous or integrated, for small or large spaces, devices can operate without daily maintenance. They only require maintenance intervention every 2 years. Ikibox has been tested during 3 years in diverse laboratories: Pasteur, Lyon University, CNRS, VIRLAB and Virnext.

Maintenance and upkeep of Ikibox purifiers

The cleaning frequency of our devices depends on the environment where they are placed.

Generally in the medical field or the hospital sector, devices require maintenance every 2 years. Membranes and structures that regenerate themselves by the treatments carried out by the reactor.

In industry, or food industry, and humid environments, cleaning and checking may be required more frequently.

In the farming industry everything will depend on the dust exposure level.

No, our devices use revolutionary technology to clean the ambient air. It has been developed in partnership with French and European laboratories, and are medical quality.

Based on the principle of advanced oxidation by plasma-catalysis, it plays on molecules and eliminates all pollutants and contaminants in order to restore the original purity of the air.

The device contains a renewable and recyclable assembly, in the form of a cartridge that renews all the critical elements of our reactor at once.

Generally, this renewal is done every 2 years.
